Altitude Chamber Training

Altitude Chambers reduce the level of oxygen in the room to simulate the effect of being at high altitudes. Training on a treadmill or bike in an Altitude Chamber helps to acclimatise the body so that it can perform better when faced with such conditions in another country. Exercising in a lower-oxygen environment stimulates the body to produce more red blood cells so that oxygen can be captured and delivered more efficiently around the body. Training ‘at altitude’ can also have performance enhancing effects when exercising at sea level and is often used by top athletes.
